"Farm Livin' Is The Life For Me"

I spent Memorial Day Weekend nestled in the mountains of Sparta, North Carolina (my family recently started an organic farm there).  The scenery in Sparta was quite different from the bathing suit clad beach-goers I am use to seeing on Shackleford Banks off the coast of Beaufort, NC, during long-weekends.  I have never viewed myself as a "country" or "farm" girl - and was a little leery of how the weekend might play out.  To my parents and my surprise, I realized just how much I loved being on the farm!  I spent the weekend bottle feeding our 4-week old lamb named Jerry, gathering eggs from the chicken coup, and loving up on our seven miniature donkeys.

Sweet Jerry follows you around everywhere!
Meet Little Mama - one of "the girls"

My one concern about the weekend was that I didn't have a hat to block the sun from my face.  So this post is dedicated to practical hats for my next trip to the farm.  I have enlisted the help of Target to achieve this look.

A floppy hat is a must have when spending the day working outside. Below are four hats that are stylish and very affordable.

Hats aren't only for working on the farm.  Fedoras and over-sized floppy hats are in all the magazines right now.  Are you planning on wearing one this summer? Where to? Have any ideas where to find other good deals on hats?
